I'm so glad you've stopped by to get to know me a bit. I am a busy mother to 5 human kids and 3 dogs. I sadly lost 2 very special dogs in recent years and have experienced the profound grief that comes from such losses. My first angel, Pooch, was my soul-dog for 17.5 years and he is the namesake and inspiration for my photography business. Harley, my heart-dog, became my second angel and although I only had him in my life for a relatively short amount of time, his impact on my life has been immeasurable. I have documented my grief journey on Instagram @messagestopooch and have gained a large following of like-minded supporters all over the world who can relate to my feelings of love and loss.
I’ve always been creative, but it’s taken me most of my life to realize that this is who I was created to be. Using my gift to tell the story of the unconditional love between pets and their people is what brings me alive. I believe there is beauty in all the seasons of our lives including at the end of life. Photography has been a gift to me in that it has allowed me to see and hold on to tangible evidence of the beauty of life. It has taught me to listen and observe the world around me. It has taught me to use my own experience to help tell the stories of others. I love the quote that says:
The greatest catalyst ever for doing something new in life is a broken heart.
Behind every pet and every relationship, there is a great story to be told. My broken heart has led me to dedicate my time and talent to tell these stories. As your photographer, I want you to walk away from our session with treasures to remind you of your unique story. I look forward to working with you and your pet. It's truly an honor to capture your story!
